Five people were taken to St. Mary’s Hospital and Banner University Medical Center Wednesday afternoon after being evacuated from the Wells Fargo Bank on West Continental Road.
Although Southwest Gas and the Green Valley Fire District suspected a gas leak because bank employees complained of a heavy odor, headaches and nausea, no gas was found, said L.T. Pratt, GVFD community outreach coordinator.
Crews were summoned to the bank shortly after 1 p.m. and left shortly after 2 p.m., Pratt said.
