A 66-year-old Tucson man escaped with only minor injuries despite going off the road this morning and ending up 100 feet down a ravine.
Green Valley Fire District Operations Chief Joey Kosiorowski said someone knocked on the door at Station 152 on Camino Encanto just before 10 a.m. to say a truck had just gone down an embankment next to the station. The truck also took out portions of a metal railing along the ravine.
It’s unknown why the driver went off the road, but he only suffered minor injuries and declined to be taken to the hospital, Kosiorowski said.
