Thanks to our great GVFD firemen!
I know of two recent incidents when our wonderful firemen helped out — in non-fire situations. My personal one was last week I was clearing a huge tree limb that was obstructing a well-traveled sidewalk. A fire truck stopped and out jumped three young men. They took my chain saw and had it cleared in half time including pushing the hanging branch over to the side so it would not fall at the wrong moment.
A neighbor out walking his dog came by with even a better story. His car had broken down. Again, firemen had stopped and helped to get his car off the road. Then when he couldn’t get it started, two of them pushed his car all the way to his home — at least a mile.
Lots of gratitude and blessings to these wonderful young men who are so helpful in our community.
