Two people died and one person was injured Friday in a single-vehicle rollover on Interstate 19.
The rollover occurred on southbound I-19 just south of Canoa Road at 4:54 p.m., according to the Department of Public Safety. A DPS said the driver of a pickup lost control, drove off the road, onto the shoulder and rolled. Two people were ejected from the vehicle and were pronounced dead at the scene. A third was taken to a Tucson hospital. As of Saturday morning, next of kin had not been notified, according to DPS The accident closed one southbound lane of I-19 and the frontage road.
