Propane Training

Eighteen firefighters from the Green Valley Fire District participated in a Live Fire exercise this week involving propane tanks.  The Rio Rico Fire Department hosted the three day training, which was created by AmeriGas and attended by multiple fire departments, including those from Tucson, Nogales and Tubac.  

Elks Lodge Firefighter of the Year

Brush Fire along I-19

Fire Fighters from the Green Valley Fire Distrtict responded to a roadside brush fire along I-19 SB at KM67 on the west shoulder. The fire was extinguished quickly and was approximately 600’ x 20’ in size at the time fire fighters arrived.  No injuries reported.
