The Green Valley Fire District this week joined the Tucson Fire Department, Mountain Vista Fire Department, Rural/Metro Fire Department, Golder Ranch Fire Department and teams from Freeport McMoRan and Sierrita Mining for drills as part of the Regional Technical Rescue Team. On Monday, they participated in Rope drills, simulating rescuing someone who had fallen off a cliff on Freeport McMoRan property. GVFD provided instruction and safety checks during the drills.
