Pena Fire

Crews stopped the spread of a 400-acre wildfire burning south of Pena Blanca Lake, but work remains on the suppression effort Tuesday.  The Pena Fire was first reported about 2:45 p.m. Monday in a remote area of the Pajarito Mountains, about eight miles west of Nogales.  Eighty people were assigned to fight the blaze, including crews from the Green Valley Fire District.  Cause of the fire remains under investigation.
