An injured hunter was rescued by Green Valley Fire District firefighters and the Pima County Sheriff’s Department on Friday.
The hunter, whose age and hometown weren’t immediately available, fell while hiking near Madera Road and Forest Service 488 around 1 p.m., according to a GVFD news release.
A friend of the hunter directed the search team to the man, who was helped to the road. The hunter was taken to Green Valley Hospital with non-life threatening injuries.
