Green Valley Fire District Firefighter Mark Savalle shakes hands with Green Valley resident Ferdinand LaRocca at the Stuff the Truck event Saturday outside Walmart. GVFD and the international Association of Fire Fighters Local 4125 collected toys and cash donations for their Adopt-A-Family program throughout the day. “Wherever I am, I do this,” said LaRocca, a Vietman Verteram who donated tow toys to the effort. 
Firefighter Amy Helland reported the “Stuff the Truck” event raised $1442.00, filled the rescue, and the squad several times. “Walmart and the community really came together today to help those less fortunate. We saw so many acts of kindness it was truly a privilege to witness and be apart of.”
