The Green Valley Fire District board voted unanimously Wednesday to ratify an $11.2 million budget.
The budget is 3.8 percent higher than last year’s budget of $10.8 million, but taxpayers will not see an increase in the tax rate. The rate will remain at $2.52 per $100 of assessed valuation.
The district’s personnel costs rose from $7.5 million to $7.8 million, and the capital replacement fund increased from $200,000 to $375,000.
The department set up a capital replacement fund last year to replace fire-trucks and other apparatus, but it can also be used for station maintenance and repairs.
