The residents of two homes were forced to evacuate around 6 p.m. Tuesday when contractors hit a gas line underground while working.
Southwest Gas was able to fix the leak, which was located in the 1500 block of West Camino Urbano in Canoa Estates, within 90 minutes, said L.T. Pratt, Green Valley Fire District spokesman.
