Green Valley Fire District firefighters were summoned to the Canoa Ranch Golf Course around 1:30 p.m. Thursday after an old brush fire reignited. Spokesman L.T. Pratt said the golf course obtained a burn permit several weeks ago to dispose of trimmings. On Thursday, when maintenance crews uncovered some of the brush, smoldering embers flared up. Firefighters extinguished the blaze and no one was hurt.
